Faceless No More

Donate to ‘Faceless No More’

Faceless No More (FNM) is working to raise public understanding about incarceration and related issues. If you have been moved or enlightened by our classes or other community outreach, please support our efforts to put a human face on people who have been faceless for too long.

We welcome your financial contribution through our fiscal sponsor, Human Kindness Foundation (HKF), a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is “to encourage more kindness in the world, beginning with people in our prisons and jails.” Your gifts, minus a small administrative fee, will go directly to the support of our classes and programs. Donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

To make a tax-free donation to FNM using a credit card, go to www.humankindness.org/honor-memory, or click on the button below. In the "Please choose one of the following" box, choose "Project." In the “Name of Honoree or Project” box, write “Faceless No More” as your intended recipient.

To donate using a check or money order, send to Human Kindness Foundation, P.O. Box 61619, Durham, NC 27715.  Write “Faceless No More” on the memo line.

Where Your Money Will Go:

FNM will use some of the money to pay modest honoraria to guest speakers, including some of the people who have made its classes so powerful. OLLI at Duke has generously paid honoraria for some of the speakers in FNM’s recent classes.

FNM will also fund initiatives such as these for current and former inmates:
  • Training programs for staff and residents in county detention centers
  • Programs and materials for prison residents preparing to reenter society
  • Fund-raising campaigns to help former people pursue new lives after incarceration
  • Small grants to help our partner organizations offer educational events and programs about incarceration.

FNM--and all of the organizations we work with—are grateful for any support you can provide. Your generosity will make a big difference in people’s lives.

About HKF:

The primary work of HKF is the Prison-Ashram Project, which encourages people who are incarcerated to use their time for focused spiritual growth. HFK sends free books about interfaith spirituality to people in prisons and jails, including books in English and Spanish that teach classic spiritual practices such as prayer, meditation, and yoga. Learn more below and at https://humankindness.org/
